Ashley is a mechanical engineer with a passion for integrating parametric design flows with structural performance. Originally from Chicago, IL, she received her B.S. at Stanford University in Mechanical Engineering where she completed research on cementitious composite materials. She has completed her S.M. at MIT in Mechanical Engineering where she is also a part of the University Center for Exemplary Mentoring. Currently Ashley is in the Digital Structures group and under the guidance of Professor Caitlin Mueller is working on the design optimization of concrete filler slabs for sustainable construction and thermal performance and hopes her work aids in the reduction of carbon usage in the built environment. Outside of research you can find Ashley cooking or spending time outdoors with friends.
