Sayandeep received a B.Eng in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota in 2020, and is currently pursuing his PhD in Chemical Engineering at MIT. His work focuses on enabling the hydrogen economy which includes developing hydrogen carriers and ancillary technologies to use hydrogen as a fuel. Currently, his focus is on developing a Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) based powertrain to develop an alternative to diesel and decarbonize long-haul trucking. Sayandeep has also undertaken internships at Shell Technology Centre, Houston and Ball Corporation, St. Paul where he participated in developing sustainable technologies and reducing footprints of existing industrial processes. Outside work, Sayandeep loves to play chess, board games and hang with friends.
